Sébastien, founder and soul of the project
Above all, Sébastien Olivier is a passionate enthusiast. Fascinated from a young age by vintage pieces—work jackets, raw denim from bygone eras, pilot leather jackets, or military trousers—he scours flea markets, thrift stores, and forgotten wardrobes in search of inspiration. Every detail matters: a chain stitch seam, a forgotten cinch strap, a uniquely aged button.
It is this passion for durable, long-lasting garments that led him to create So France Is Co. His ambition: to revive the spirit of utilitarian clothing from the past through modern, bespoke creations, crafted in France using the finest selvedge fabrics in the world.
A Team of Craftsmanship and Passion
Around him, Sébastien has gathered textile professionals, experienced artisans, and young talents trained in traditional sewing techniques. Together, they share a deep appreciation for precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Each team member contributes to bringing bespoke client projects to life whether it’s a perfectly fitted selvedge jean, a jacket, or a hand-embroidered apron.
